As seen on the international fashion shows, next season will be plenty of stripes, plaids, polka dots, zigzags and such. This trend had actually caught my attention last season, but this time the design appears in many different ways.
The trick here is to use a piece in a geometric print and match it with a flat piece, a neutral if you want to avoid exaggeration. If you want to follow the examples of the runways and use more than one pattern in the same look, try to stay in the same color palette – especially for the graphics. That is, large grids coordinate with small polka dots, for example. You also must avoid two patterns in the same size.
Have a nice day!
