Hi, Buddies,

Miami’s last outfit.

That’s right, people, I have a new passion now: skates!

Ever since Raphael bought his, I was tempted to learn as well. So that’s when I decided to buy one in Las Vegas, the Mini Cruiser. For those who never heard of it, the Mini Cruiser, also known as Fish (because of it’s shape), are old school skates that are coming back to scene. They were a huge success in the 70/80 and changed the way people felt about skateboarding.

Although skateboarding in Brazil is usually related to teenagers, in other countries they have long became a mean of transportation, and not only a sport or a hobby. It is a fast and green alternative. In the United States, a lot of people use their skates to work, schook, college, shopping, and so on.

It has ABEC 7 bearings, which provides higher speeds. Furthermore, the truck is narrower, helping make tighter turns than the longboards. But I must say that, for the inexperienced, like me, it is more difficult to ride.

That’s why I decided to buy another one in Miami, the Penny Nickel 27”that offers more stability for people in my height – for those who don’t know, I’m 6’2”. Well, now it’s time to practice… For those who never tried it, I have only one thing to say: it’s addictive. 😉

That’s it!

Have a nice weekend!
